Hermitage Lodge’s award-winning restaurant ‘Il Cacciatore’ specialises in Northern Italian inspired cuisine. Il Cacciatore has long been a favourite with visitors and locals alike. The ambience is relaxed and casual and the service is professional, friendly and attentive. The seasonal menu takes advantage of fresh local produce, authentic Italian ingredients and house made pastas. Il Cacciatore is fully licensed, with full bar service, and a wine list showcasing some of the Hunter’s best wines.

Il Cacciatore also has a second dining area and a spacious adjoining deck, which overlooks the landscaped reed-lined lake. Perfect for al fresco dining, it is also available for private dinners or cocktail parties.

Home made condiments are also available.

Hermitage Lodge Accommodation

Set on 25 acres of vineyards and natural bushland, this property has 20 rooms featuring 7 different room styles. The ‘Lodge’ offers the discerning guest 4 ½ star boutique accommodation and personal, attentive service rarely found today. The rooms are large, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a great deal of attention to detail. Eleven of the rooms, the studios, suites and premier suites, were opened in 2006. All twenty rooms offer guests a deck or verandah overlooking the Shiraz vineyard. The salt water swimming pool is a welcome relief on a hot day.
