247 Wilderness Road, Lovedale
We are not just boutique, we are at the small end of boutique. A family owned vineyard with a friendly relaxed vibe and great personalised service from the owners. The vineyard also has a resident artist (one of the owners) who runs art workshops. Groups often stay at the cottage to have the whole art and wine experience. Views lend themselves to a fantastic wine tasting or painting experience. Our accommodation is dog friendly.
Our wines are made from estate grown fruit by two established winemakers reflecting the local characteristics of the fruit with their own distinctive styles. The cellar door also displays art, pottery and local produce. You will be welcomed by Andrew and Jacquie, who own the vineyard and run the cellar door. Sample wines produced from hand picked grapes are sourced from our carefully managed vines just meters away from our cellar door. The vineyard has been responsible for many award winning wines in previous incarnations.
View or buy art or participate in an art workshop with the resident artist at an art studio that provides a fantastic location for art with picturesque views and the serenity necessary to cultivate the inner artist. Our resident artist Jacquie Mather, is passionate about sharing her love for the wilderness and art. Her inspiration often comes from the landscapes around her and she loves to pull on her boots and create unique art experiences around the properties.
Jacquie conducts art workshops for visitors who are interested in drawing and painting. She will teach you how to develop sketches to produce a painting, working in acrylics or oils. You will also learn some painting fundamentals, a little art theory and have lots of fun turning your ideas into quality art works.
Book a stay at Claremont Cottage, formerly the winemakers cottage. It provides a unique experience of staying on a vineyard right next to the cellar door with stunning views across the valley to the Brokenback ranges. We welcome our guests booking a personal wine tasting. Dogs are welcome. There is an enclosed garden to give you some space from your furry siblings.
